About Sir Sam's
Along with friendly and professional staff inside the chalet and out at the lifts, all our instructors working directly alongside students are certified through CASI, CSIA, CADS, ACA and/or the PSIC. Adaptive lessons are available and we are able to accommodate most special needs or requests you may have.
With fantastic snow conditions and terrain suitable for every skill level, we’re excited to help you hit the slopes. When you arrive, our rental shop is set and ready to get you and your group out on the hill in no time. We may be a little further drive in some cases, but the quality of your day trip experience will be well worth it.
Our Approach
Our goal is to ensure everybody that visits Sir Sam's leaves with a smile on their face and a a new or deepened appreciation for snowsports. We recognize the importance of school programs which encourage physical activity and develop a love for sport and adventure. We believe that everyone deserves to experience the joys of winter through skiing or snowboarding.
To start the day, we guide each student through various skill stations to ensure they have the fundamentals that will lead to a fun and safe day on the hill. For those just starting their skiing journey, our instructors offer small group lessons tailored to the students' current ability levels. Understanding the importance of first impressions, we encourage all students to ski during school trips, as snowboarders typically have a more challenging learning curve than skiers. Snowboarders that are experienced and have their own equipment are permitted to snowboard during the trip. Adhering to OSBIE guidelines, we offer a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for students of all ages and skill levels.

OSBIE guidelines can be reviewed by clicking the button below. These guidelines will assist you in planning your trip. The document includes important information including videos to show students how to use lifts, the alpine responsibility code which must be adhered to at any ski resort, chaperone roles and responsibilities, and forms which must be completed for out of school trips. We will need a copy of these forms when you arrive for your first visit.
