Haliburton Horizons Photography Hike

Pack your smartphone and get ready to experience the rugged beauty of the Haliburton Highlands from a whole new perspective. This custom, beginner-friendly hike is specifically designed to balance the sweep of massive, wide-angle lake vistas with the hidden, intricate world of macro forest life. Follow the trail up the ski hill as we alternate between grand landscapes and extreme close-ups! Admission to the Eagle View Observation Tower is included.
Colourfest

Visit the Sir Sam's booth at Colourfest. Our team will be there with information about the upcoming ski season & events plus some fun games!
Helicopter Watch Party
Sunday, September 20, 2026 - 9AM
Sir Sam's new quad chairlift is nearing completion... but just how do those towers for a new lift get installed? With a helicopter! Join us on the deck and grab a coffee and a breakfast Sammy to watch the towers go up. Deck open at 9am. Rain date September 21. Join our e-newsletter for updates.

Touch & Tower Trek
Sunday, September 20, 2026 - 1PM
Bring the whole family for a relaxed 1-hour outdoor adventure where nature meets imagination! This gentle 1.5 km walk is designed for all generations—from children to grandparents. Together, we will slow down, explore the trail, and turn the forest into our art studio using simple, hands-on crafting techniques, textures, and touch to create nature imprints, wilderness stampings and more. Touch and see nature on this leisurely interactive and sensory art trail hike to the Sir Sam’s summit.
Admission to the Eagle View Observation Tower is included. Participants are encouraged to bring sketchbooks if they wish. Basic art materials supplied for trail activities.
