Mountain Biking

Overlooking picturesque Eagle Lake, Sir Sam's Ski/Ride features 13 km of cross country trails plus 9 km of downhill trails. Ride through open meadow, hardwood forest, and ancient rock outcroppings or play on the pump track at the top of the hill. Sir Sam's has trails suited for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.

Trail Hours

Trails are open 24/7. Book your trail pass online or visit the Honour Box onsite to ride anytime. Payment for trail access is mandatory and a waiver must be completed for all participants. The chalet will not be open for washrooms or water refills outside of office hours.

Tunnel Lift

Back this summer are our covered surface lifts! Shuttle to the top of the hill and enjoy all that Sir Sam’s has to offer without having to climb up. The tunnel provides one-way access up the hill.

First Time Riding At Sir Sam's?

Start your day by taking the tunnel or riding Lou's Loop to the top of the hill. Lou's Loop is the only up-track and begins to the right of the Honour Box. Once at the top, venture through the forest behind the Eagle View Observation Tower along the Eagle View Loop or Willow trails. The Eagle View Loop is great for beginners or those looking for a laid back ride. The Willow provides more of a challenge with a few small natural features and some up hill riding. To return to the chalet, hop back on Lou's Loop or try the guest-favourite Python trail that begins at the top of the tunnel loaded with turns and berms. For advanced downhill riders, try our various Black Diamond trails for a greater challenge.
