Hiking

Sir Sam’s is located amidst some of the most scenic terrain in Ontario. For those looking to take the scenic route, and drink up the rugged beauty of the Haliburton Highlands, hiking passes are just the ticket. Hike through the remnants of what was once apple orchards and wheat fields while learning the history of Sir Sam Hughes, Glenn Eagle Lodge and Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views over Eagle and Moose Lakes. Of note — if you’ve never seen Haliburton in the fall, it’s a positively electric display of colour not to be missed!

Hike Trail Classification – Moderate, with elevation changes, small rocks, roots.
